Transumanze

Synopsis The great migration of Sardinian shepherds to Tuscany in the ‘60s is a little-known story about work, social conflicts and emancipation during the passage from sharecropping to industrialization. Transhumance is a collective tale about the discovery of the landscape, of an activity such as pastoralism which is still deeply rooted in the territory, of communities which re-form despite the sea.

Director’s bio-filmography Andrea Mura (Cagliari, 1980) graduated from the Italian National Film School and directed the documentaries Nodas (2015), Ladiri (2017) and Transhumance (2020) which participated in festivals such as Primed (Marseille) and RAI Film Festival (Bristol). He carries out Media Arts training and is the artistic director at the Sole Luna Doc Film Festival.
